What do you get when you combine a love for dogs and a love for smoking meats? Jax & Josie's Smoked Jerky. Our dad couldn't help but notice the slight increase in drool on the patio as he shook his head over the failed attempt at making his own smoked jerky treats. He uses the same cuts of beef that he cooks for himself and seasonings that were hand picked specifically with canine health benefits in mind. The 100% all natural grain and preservative free smoked jerky was so good, we decided it had to be shared. Knowing the importance of remembering where one came from, Josie has decided to donate a portion of all proceeds to the Heartland German Shepherd Rescue (HUGS). Our newest brother, Griffey, is also a HUGS alum who loves his taste testing role.

My Rescue Story
Griffey FKA Viktor
Hi, my name is Griffey, but I'm formerly known as Viktor at my rescue. I was born in Missouri. The human that bred my parents was unable to sell me due to some hair loss I had experienced at birth (you wouldn't be able to tell now, though!) So, they donated me to the Heartland German Shepherd Rescue (HUGS) in Omaha, NE, so I could find my furr-ever home. My sister, Helena, and I drove all the way up to Nebraska where HUGS put us both with awesome foster families! My foster family included 2 German Shepherd dogs, just like me! My foster sister, Josie, and I hit it off right away. We play all day long until we can't possibly play anymore. I fit in so well with her and my foster brother, Jax, that they decided to adopt me! I am so grateful to my rescue for finding me my family, and I can't wait to see all of the other dogs rescued through HUGS find theirs, too!
